Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Day of Work Empty A Day of Work

Post by Malowney Catt Thu Feb 10, 2011 4:38 pm

Malowney entered her office, to have a long day of healing. She forgot that she was a healer, not a nurse, and was preparing to look after patients. But in between unpacking her briefcase, she remembered she was a healer. But having the spell book in her pocket, she guessed she was perfectly okay with her first day of work.

She unpacked her briefcase onto her desk, and signed a few forms that had been left there. Okay, work wasn't satisfying, but at least it was interesting - it counted as learning, Malowney realized. Learning about healing ill patients - that was what healers did.

She sat on her chair and waited for any patients. First day of work, and she was already prepared and ready to take on any ill patients who needed instant care. She guessed she wasn't particularly advanced, but clever in the art of healing in some way.

A Day of Work Empty Re: A Day of Work

Malowney smiled as she magically stirred a cup of tea, and she took a sip. Being a healer isn't that amazing, but surely having a nice warm cup of tea in your office is good? She settled with the idea that working as a healer in St. Mungo's was fine. She waited for a customer to come.

"Forms, forms..." she mumbled, signing a pile of forms left on her desk. Out of all the things you did at work, signing forms was the worst. Though now Malowney could admit there was hardly anything bad about this new job.

She smiled as she took another sip, and settled for a good long five minutes of drinking perfectly warm tea, and then thought: Yikes, St. Mungo's is a bit short on customers today! But she ignored the fact and decided probably it would be best to just wait the entire day of work to find any injured customers.

A Day of Work Empty Re: A Day of Work

Malowney yawned, and took another sip of tea. No customers? Surely there had to be some. But they were probably in the hands of another healer, an example...hmm...Khaat Lupin. Matt Lestrange. Robert Lupin. All the other healers, they had a customer to deal with.

Not many nurses around, right? Malowney was a busy lady. It could take her ages to get to a customer. But she wasn't busy now. Oh, great. Just when she has a little space in her life, nobody seems to want healing. Perfect for her first day of work.

No, she had a better idea. They were so worked up that I was a beginner they ran away yelling and saying "Get me to Khaat Lupin, not the beginner healer Malowney Catt!" Yes. That would be it. The solution to why Malowney was so bored.

She picked up her mug and took a sip of her tea. She'd finished it, in just a few sips. Well, joining the job as a healer is thirsty work. Malowney popped her mug back in her cupboard full of her belongings she may need at work.

To give herself something to do, Malowney tidied up her desk and then tidied up her medicine cupboard, which took a great deal of time. She stood there, thinking of what to do. Ah, yes! What's the point of spin-chairs if you can't spin on them?

No, Malowney, she thought to herself. Not on a full stomach. Malowney decided she'd just wait there.
