What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Books... books and more books

That was all that was on Medusa's mind lately and right about now, she had nothing more to look forward to other than studying and drawing but even drawing was out of the picture now, she found nothing happy about doing that.  It was like her happiness and bubbly was sucked out of her leaving her in a small empty cold shell, something that she wasn't quite use to seeing how she was very bubbly even for a Ravenclaw.  But now she reserved and kept to herself and did nothing but eat sleep and breathe studying, she really had nothing more to do than that and it was what she was doing.   As of lately she been focusing on doing her best to keep her grades outstanding to become a Healer or maybe even a Auror, she didn't quite know but she narrowed down her options by two now.  Although she was sure it was going to be a Healer, but it was a bit too soon to tell and she still had some time to think about it.

Wondering around Study Hall grabbing any and every book she could lay her hands on or that was interesting on the subjects she was taking she put another book in her arms.   She was in the potions section looking for advance potions books, hey... she needed to brush up on her advance potions if she was going to be a Healer.  Looking down at the books in her arms she nodded in approval, advance potions to DADA spells to how to fly on her own.    She was going to have Stephen try to teach her to fly, but that was out the window seeing how he didn't answer her letters all summer, she wondered if she did anything wrong.   After sending countless of letters and getting nothing back, she stopped trying becoming who she was now cold and reserved.

She had no friends now she was alone and left on her own, she had no friends here at Hogwarts and she sure didn't have any in the muggle world or her muggle school.   Books and her drawings were her only friends beside her shadow that followed her around like a old friend that been there for ages, which in realty it did.    Sighing to herself,  she carried her books in her arms as she opened the one on advance potions reading it as she walked back to her table she usually sat at to continue her studying.   Although it was the start of the year, they didn't have homework yet but that didn't stop her from having her nose in a book.  If this was how it was going to be lately, she was going to focus the rest of her Hogwarts years being the best Healer she could be.  Who needed  friends, all they did was let you down and were backstabbers, no she had her books and drawings to keep her busy and company.

Walking back to her seat, her nose was too busy reading the potions book to look where she was going, besides not many people were in here anyways.   It was until she bumped into someone as her books went tumbling into the floor along with the book she was reading on advance potions, frowning looking down at the books she bent down and picked them up.   Not seeing who she bumped into while picking up her books she apologized.  'Im sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking, the study hall is usually empty at this time." she said still picking up her book.

He had thought a visit to the library would get his spirits up. He thought he could find a bit of his old self laying around which he could grab and put back inside him as if it was something one could do. But Stephen had never been more mistaken. This place only made him feel more lost, more uncomfortable. As if trying to be who he was one summer ago was too much for his new but not so good self.

He's been having trouble focusing later. In classes he did no longer have answers to the questions professors directed at him. Here he couldn't sit down and read whatever came to hand. There was always something bugging him preventing him from thinking in something else other than the accident and its outcomes. He couldn't help thinking all he was doing pointless, worthless, aimless. And the same went for him. Descendant to a family of Death Eaters, son to the biggest fattest liar in the whole world and beyond. He just wanted to disappear, end this charade.

After about ten minutes of trying Stephen put the book down closing it hard on the table. He didn't even know what it was about... It was the first volume that came to hand when he reached up to the shelf. Reaching up yet again he put it on place and got up to leave. He made his way through the corridor into the common hallway. Just when he was throwing his bag up his shoulder he hit someone behind him cause whatever they were carrying with them to fall onto the ground with such violence he could swear they had just started an earthquake.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there" he said and rather mechanically turned around and bent down to help picking up the books. He didn't notice who it was until he looked up from the pile of books. "Oh. Hi." His expression softened for a second or so before he went back to close himself behind those bars that have been locking him away from the world all this time. He felt guilty for what he did. Or rather, what he didn't do. He had actually never felt so bad his entire life... He looked away picking the books and letting them on the closest table. She'd be better off without him.

Hearing her books tumbling on the floor loudly enough to wake the whole library she winced at the sound, afraid she was going to get kicked out of here. As of lately, the library was the place she gotten away and drowned herself in Homework books and studying. Although people found their escape in other things besides Homework and books, it was all she knew how to do as of lately. She couldn't wait for the homework to come so she could stay consistently busy with her school work and nothing else, she was odd for saying that but she didn't care. She all she did was eat sleep and breathe studying and doing homework, although she did read and draw but drawing didn't seem to interest her anymore.

Looking up from her books she seen that she ran into Stephen and bit her lip. Great...just great just what she needed when she was trying to get some studying done, something to distracting her! Although it wasn't like Stephen was going to talk to her, so she had nothing to worry about there. "Um... hi, thanks for help with my books I got it from here thanks." she said gathering up the rest of her things that were scattered all over the floor. She bit her lip thinking this was how they almost met her drawings scattered around the lake cause she tripped over him not paying attention, but she pushed that memory in the back of her mind.

Placing her stuff in her bag not caring if it was messy, she decided she'll fix it it once she got back to her table and away from him. Picking up her books she tucked them under her arms once again. "I have some studying to do, I'm not going to get high marks by not studying so excuse me." she said not looking at him as she walked back to her table. People may notice that she was a bit reserved and kept to herself more then she did before, even her parents noticed that she spent most majority of her spare time surrounding herself with books and studying. But she didn't care, all she wanted to do is focus on her studies and become the best Healer she could be.

Reaching her table she always sat at, she set her books down before looking down at her mess in her bookbag. Sighing to herself she gotten her stuff out putting it on the table separating it all out neatly by subjects and from hardest to easiest. Once that was done, she decided to set her books out the same way, before she started reading once again on advance potions. Taking a blank piece of parchment she placed on the table before getting her ink and quill and started taking notes on potions she thought were fascinating to her.
