Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Well, it's happening again. Tornadoes and hurricanes and flooding, oh my!

My county is getting more rain than it ever has before. We almost never get category 4 storms but this one is exceptionally bad because it downgraded so now it's moving at 1 mph across land. So it's dumping 7 inches of rain per second in some places, an de places we expected to flood Monday have already done so. Rivers with dams are being completely flooded and nobody is supposed to go outside until Thursday. So we'll see how things go.

As it were, we might lose power. I was gonna post this week but I don't know if I'll be able to. But I'll keep y'all updated! <3

Well, this is the most bizarre weather thing that's ever happened in Texas. And that is saying something. We once had a blizzard, a thunderstorm and a tornado, all within a few counties.

Now the cat 4 hurricane is about to be declassified and taken down from tropical depression to regular weather system. But here's the catch. It's just stopped. It's projected to head back to the coast, pick up more water, and head directly back to our city. TEN OUTTA TEN, HARVEY. I DONT LIKE YOU.

13.6 inches of rain in 3 hours nearby. A dozen tornadoes. The record is 18 inches in that time but they're expecting 40 within the next 24 hours. This is baaaad.

We'll see. People are being forced into their attics in some parts of the city, and were told to bring axes or chainsaws with them in case they have to cut their way out. This is serious catastrophe-level stuff. Multiple deaths already.

Yeah, it's headed to the coast now but it's supposed to turn around and head straight back towards us after it takes a water break or something. Ugh. We had 13 inches in a couple hours so if it comes back too soon it's bad news bears. Glad you're safe up there, though!! Texas is a mess right now lol
