Plot Explanation and Timeline

I understand that our original plot is quite confusing, so I have made this to clear it up.

When Potter's Army first started, it did not have a plot. The original plot was formed almost entirely by the members. Since then, PA's plot has been influenced by many different members and admins. We have done everything from muggles vs. wizards to half-breed plots.

However, our new plot has very little to do with our previous plots, something we have done intentionally so that new members do not get confused. So keep this in mind: unless you are playing an important canon character (James or Albus Potter for example), understanding all the old PA plots is not important. We would prefer if you get a general idea though, so here you can have a read of the original plot (and the entire history of PA here.)

PA is held in an alternate reality. It mostly continues on from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but with one twist – Voldemort didn’t die at the Battle of Hogwarts. When his snake Nagini, his last Horcrux, was killed, he decided it was far to risky to stay despite having the elder wand. Fleeing from the battle, he left his followers to die. He decided would remake his Army later, but for the time being Voldemort just needed to be Immortal again.

Harry Potter knew what Voldemort was up too, and decided to track him. However, the boy who lived vanished, presumed dead by almost everyone. Voldemort then returned, and took over almost all of the wizarding world. Hogwarts was the last safe sanction.

This is a brief timeline to clear some of it up:

1991 – Harry Potter and his friends start school. Voldemort is prevented from getting the Sorcerers stone by Harry Potter.

1992 – The Chamber of Secrets opened again. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley catch the culprit.

1994 – The Triwizard Tournament is held at Hogwarts. Voldemort returns and tries to kill Harry Potter yet again, but he escapes miraculously. Cedric Diggory is murdered at the final task.

1995 – Death Eaters infiltrate the ministry and attempt to take a prophecy. It was shattered in the end.

1996 – Death Eaters infiltrate Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore is murdered.

1997 – The Battle of Hogwarts. The Order win the battle.

2009 – Harry Potter goes poof

2010 – Voldemort begins recruiting more followers.

2017 – Albus Severus Potter starts Hogwarts.
