Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Kaden had decided that she would spend her free time studying, as she knew that if she did not do well on her exams. Her parents would be extremely mad at her and that was something she was not okay with. She had wanted to do well in school, so she had gotten her books from her common room as she had put them in a bag. Kaden knew it would be a long walk, well it seemed in that moment that she would be faced with a long walk as she began making her way out of her common room, trying to go unnoticed by the other Slytherins. She did not want others knowing that she had actually valued doing school work.

The fifteen year old made her way out of the Dungeons. Looking around to see if anyone would notice her, but when she saw everything seemed clear she smiled as she made her way walking with some sort of attitude. Her bag slouched above her shoulder as she let out a smile on her face as she had saw some students walking as she smirked walking by them. Despite her general nice nature she was not always the nicest person as she had soon arrived at the third floor which she soon walked down the nearest corridor. Hoping she could find the library or act like she did not know where it was.

Kaden soon found the library as she let out a small smile saying " Knew I would find it. " entering the library she looked around as she saw other students studying. Some who would look over at her as she gave them a polite smile. Overall Kaden considered herself to be a nice person as she had friends, but she could handle herself if someone got on her nerves. She was not a pushover for damn sure as she took a seat placing her books right by her.

Digging through her bag she attempted to find a quill as she sighed, when one could not be found. Rather disappointed with herself she looked at the closest person as she asked them. " Do you have a quill I could borrow? "

Apollo looked up at the question, confused at first but then surprised. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen Kaden studying in the library before, and certainly hadn't expected anyone to sit near him after what had happened. Maybe she just hadn't heard, and thus didn't know the troubles that sitting near Apollo Zabini could cause a person.

Then again, he had people like Naomi and Aleksa, and now that he knew what the latter was after, he could try to subtly convince her that they just would not work out.

Still, the surprise was probably evident on his face as he looked at her a moment too long before reaching into his bag. Apollo drew out a quill and held it out to her.

His eyes drifted to her study supplies, noting something else that was missing. "Have you got ink with you? I don't mind you using some of mine." He inched the pot towards her with the back of his hand until it sat between them, and offered a tight smile (which likely actually came off as a gimrace) before turning back towards his own homework. Perhaps if he got stuck on charms again, he could ask Kaden instead of going to his brother next time.

Kaden had been hoping that the person would be willing to lend her a quill. The fifteen year old had interest in going back to her common room and grabbing her quill. The common room seemed extremely far, and she was not one to take several trips. Although she had been someone for being active, but trips to common room could be crossed off her to do list. Leaving her to hope she could study and not let people judge her for trying to be productive for a change. As she had tapped her fingers on the table, but was soon caught when she saw the person turn and saw it was Apollo, a fellow Slytherin.

Then part of her felt embarrassed, wondering if her social butterfly girl was blown, with someone who had been extremely studious. Kaden contemplated that thought for a moment maybe the cover couldn't be so bad. Then again would people try to use her smarts to their own advantage, but she knew it would only look good to others if she had something involving helping someone on her list of experiences that she had contained.

Kaden had saw Apollo reach into his bag, and she had smiled for a moment. Maybe she could make this a fun studying, but then again what if she got in trouble for talking in the library. Then her cover would be definitely blown, and she knew if her mother knew anything about this she would so much trouble. Kaden took the quill from Apollo's hand giving him a thankful smile. As she soon looked at her supplies biting her lip, as she heard Apollo ask her if she had any ink. She had bit her lip as she shook her head, and had been relieved when he said, she could use his.

" Thanks your a lifesaver " said Kaden giving him a small smile. As she had began organizing her belongings, and opened her OWLS book placing the quill in some ink. Proceeding to begin copying down her notes. Knowing that most people would find it odd that she had been actually studying, but she knew that looks could be deceiving as she soon looked over at Apollo. Curious to know what he was studying, knowing she was bound to get distracted by everything.

Kaden looked at Apollo, " What are you studying for? " asked Kaden in a hushed tone.

Apollo had never expected his teammate to be the studying sort, based on what he had seen of her. Their days on the pitch had certainly not implied it, though he supposed the same was likely assumed of him most of the time. At least, until someone saw his Potions and Curative Magic marks. But he had of course never sat in class with Kaden, so neither of them could have known. That, at least, made him feel less oblivious.

"No worries," he replied with a shrug. "I usually carry extra just in case."

And he nearly smiled at that, given how much writing he had been doing as of late. Much more than usual, and not just on essays. Though, granted, he had loads of essays that would soon be due as well. That stopped the smile from fully forming, though.

But he looked up when she spoke again. Unfortunately, he sighed rather than immediately engaging. It wasn't her fault, though. This assignment was rough. Apollo sat back in his chair, turning his head to look at her.

"Charms," he said, practically groaning. "I honestly don't know why I'm rubbish at it, but even six years later I haven't gotten better. I'd ask you for help, but I doubt you've looked ahead at sixth year books."

Apollo shrugged again. But he was trying this whole 'being friendly' thing, so he figured he had to at least attempt to keep the conversation going. "You? Got an essay coming up or something?"
