Post by Cassiopeia Cheshire Tue Jan 24, 2017 12:19 pm

It had been a long day for Cassiopeia so she was currently sitting one of these comfy armchairs and was enjoying the fireplace warmth there. She didn't really have any plans for today. She had just finished her homework even for today. So she didn't really have anything to do right now.

The girl didn't really feel like going outside or anywhere else. She just wanted to relax a little bit here in common room. It was right now so nice and quiet. It was pretty rare when Cassie wanted to the peaceful environment for herself. She usually is around crowds. She also from far here looked outside of the window. She didn't really like to go very near to the window. It has something to do with her fear of heights.

She was still wearing her school uniform even if she didn't really feel so comfortable in it. She didn't like skirts much but she didn't really complain about it. She kind of at times wished she could wear pants instead of the skirt but she has never really asked if it's allowed, now she suddenly wants to find it out. She sighed on that thought and looked around the common room. She slowly began to be bored and the girl needed some action but she needed to figure out what. Reading a book was out of the question for sure, she didn't do it much for sure.

Hey, there Empty Re: Hey, there

Post by Anabelle Mulciber Fri Jan 27, 2017 11:05 pm

It had been a long day.

Not just because of classes and homework, that had been the easy part if she was honest, but because of a certain someone who was constantly pestering her. Two someones, actually. What made it worse was that one of them was in her house and, to her, as a girl should have been on her side. But that wasn't the case and she had been stupid for thinking it would be.

They were all friends, but Freyja had always had a particular interest in Cronis and she made it a point to try to protect him and get him what he wanted, even if it meant putting herself, Hit and even Evander in danger. In other words, Freyja was nuts.

It was fine to care about your friends, Anabelle Mulciber was the number one believer that friends usually did more for you than family half the time, but Freyja took that too far sometimes. No, all the time. Especially with this. Cronis had confessed that he liked her a while back but Hit, fearing that a relationship with him would ruin their friendship, had rejected him by blowing the entire situation off.

Cronis hadn't seemed to get the point.

So now he constantly hung around her, wanting to get closer to her, to somehow get her to let him in, but Hit wanted nothing to do with it. Then the other Gryffindor in their group entered and tried to get Hit to give him a shot. Merlin, there was so much wrong with that though. Cronis was the exact opposite of her, in personalities and Houses, there was just no way. It was hard enough to be his friend most days with the way they were.

After classes, the three of them had gotten into a fight with a conflicted Evander as a spectator who didn't know what to do. Cronis and Freyja were on about the same thing, and Hit seemed to finally snap. "Leave me alone already! This is getting out of hand, I said no already. No means no!" She had turned from them and just before bolting off toward the Gryffindor tower she said, "Why don't you two date instead?" in a weird tone.

Before anyone could respond, she ran off. Once she had made it to the tower, she turned to see if Freyja had followed her since she would be the only one who would be able to follow her into the tower, but she hadn't. Of course not, she's with Cronis. After catching her breath Hit entered the tower and took a step forward into the common room. It was unsurprisingly empty since hardly anyone really liked being in the common room anymore, but she was glad to at least see one person there, even though she didn't talk to the girl sitting at the armchairs near the fireplace.

"Hi Cassie." she offered a small smile, walking toward the fireplace as she set her bag down next to another one of the armchairs.

Cassie was sitting there and looking out of the window. Also, she had fallen into her own thoughts so she didn't even notice that someone had entered the common room actually. She heard that someone was there then the person said 'Hi Cassie'.

Which made her look away from the window and wake up from her thoughts. She noticed it was a girl around her age. "Oh, hey, Hit," she said there back with a small smile her face. She knew her a little but not much really. They were still housemates and even shared some classes probably together.

Actually, it was getting boring here all alone and she was actually glad that Hit had come to her. So now she has someone company for some time here. So she can to do something else that starring out of the window. She just didn't really have nothing else to do until Hit showed up.

She wasn't sure what else she should say there now. "How as your day been so far?" she asked something random to keep the conversation going there. She really wasn't sure what she should be asking or saying. It was first or just Cas had spent right now way too much with her own thoughts.

It had been a great day!

Of course, class had been rotten, because it always was, but Julian had gotten a chance to sit behind Hot Violet and when she had passed back their essays, he could smell her perfume. Their fingers touched, and he swore that she had a special little smile, reserved only for him, and there was this moment where they hesitated, his essay between their hands, a wide grin stretching across his face until-

'Um, Julian. You can let go. Hi Christian."

Julian glanced back to see Christian slipping into the class and shook it off. Whatever. She had smiled at him.

He had gotten a D on his essay.

Lunch was great, though, because Peter had attracted a crowd ever since he had taken a preliminary meeting with Puddlemore United to begin discussing his options once he graduated. They usually had a nice group of people to join them for lunch, but today the hot Hufflepuff seventh year girls had all joined them to hear about Peter's success, Sheryl providing extra attention because she had a cousin on the team. Her friend Carla seemed less keen, but Julian was attentive enough to know what she needed to know - all of the stats for the Holyhead Harpies. That'd cheer her up.

Class again, a quick two-on-two match with Peter and some of his teammates, and a late dinner, and then he was bounding up towards the Tower, wracking his brain for the password. On his way, he passed Cronis and Freya, and even though the latter was typically nice to him, neither gave his greeting a very warm reception. He reached the portrait, and three tries later, he was stumbling through, thinking the only thing that could make his night better would be-

"Laaadies," he greeted with a grin. He tumbled over the sofa, rolling onto it and falling onto the cushions, stretched across. Cassie's question wasn't for him, but he supposed she would have asked. "I had just a great day. Some Quidditch, some socializing, destroyed my Charms essay, no big deal. Just killin' it today." He let out a happy sigh. "You two?"

She'd just barely let go of the strap of her bag when someone else entered the common room and butted into their conversation. The voice that began to speak, taking her chance to answer Cassie's question away, could only belong to one person and Hit was obviously not thrilled about who it was.

She didn't think Julian was a bad person, but he wasn't her favorite person either.

She'd only slightly glanced at him before returning her attention to what she had been doing before he'd walked in and interrupted. She stepped over the bag that was now laying flat on the floor and sat in the armchair it was leaning up against. She didn't think she should bother to acknowledge that he'd answered but at the same time she didn't think she could really ignore it.

With a sigh, she finally answered Cassie, "It's been an.. interesting day." Hit didn't want to reveal any more than that, though. She thought back to her fight with Cronis and Freyja and decided that she would have to make up with them at some point. It was hard to stay mad at them, and it was hard for them to stay mad at her, so eventually the entire problem would just melt away.

Until they brought it up again.

Cassiopeia was waiting reply from Hit but suddenly boy apperead here too. She didn't know him that well either. She just knew he was same house as her and also year. He nodded towards him and then looked at Hit again when she answered the question too.

"Oh my day as been good I suppose. Even if nothing much didn't happen," she said there now and wondered what to else to say now. She wasn't really sure what to think of that boy. She could tell that Hit wasn't really thrilled that boy was here. She wasn't sure why.

Cas tried to remember boys name actually. It was Jul...es no wait Julian. She remembered it few seconds for thinking about it. She was once again looking out of window again. She was just thinking what to say.

They hadn't exactly responded to his own day, but he could forgive that, he supposed. They both sounded like they had been subjected to rotten days, and his day was going to get significantly worse if he had to hear anything about them. There was something weighty to that 'interesting' and a bit exasperated with the 'boring' but he had a feeling following up would only end in pain for him. Besides, ladies hated to be asked about their problems. It depressed them.

Peter taught him that.

He let out a yawn and stretched out his arms, stretching across the sofa as he readjusted. The fire was keeping the common room nice and toasty, and soon there'd be no need for them, with spring on its way. At the tail end of his yawn, he said, "Man. I can't wait for the Gryffindor/Hufflepuff match. Have you see the badgers? Useless! Absolutely useless. We're gonna cream 'em!" There. That would have cheered him up.

He yawned again and reviewed his day thoughtfully, suddenly propping himself up. He had been in classes with these two for six years. He could consider them friends, yes? "Hey, do you guys know what's up with Podmore today? I feel like she gave me the stink eye on my way up. We're usually cool."

"You shouldn't count them out just yet. Just because they seem like they're 'useless' doesn't mean they can't surprise us." Hit retorted to Julian's comment. "I can't say I don't believe we'll win, though." She added.

Hit had a habit of never mentioning she was on the Gryffindor quidditch team, though she doubted no one knew she was on it. She played rather well, but never went out of her way to excel in her position. She didn't play quidditch to 'be the best' like most people did, she played because she loved the game.

That didn't mean she was willing to let her team lose, though.

She'd started to feel better, to forget about her fight with Cronis and Freyja, but then Julian mentioned the latter. Great. Her mood seemed to plummet and she pulled her legs up onto the armchair to pull them against her chest. Julian didn't have to know why Frey might've acted like that, but he needed some explanation since she started to take it out on him.

"She's probably mad. Someone must've gotten her friend mad." Hit told the other Gryffindor. The girl didn't know if Julian knew about how close they all were, and even though no one really seemed to care about the house rivalries anymore, Cronis always made it a point to stay away from the two Gryffindors unless their entire group was together. Just because Evander was a Ravenclaw and he could say the two of them were his friends.

Cronis was pretty shallow.

"She'll be fine in a little while, I imagine."

Cassiopeia didn't know that much about quidditch really. She goes to the games and basically, that's all. She isn't really sure how good someone is or so. She doesn't really pay much attention to such things. "I guess yeah that's all true but we'll see. Like Hit said they might surprise us but I hope we win yes," she said there something with a small smile.

The next topic she didn't really know nothing about really. Since she has spent probably hours here in common room and doing nothing basically. She just didn't say anything there now. There was nothing to say really. She just looked at each of them and hoped they talk about something else than them. She was sure she heard those names before but she wasn't right now exactly sure who they were.

Hit suddenly thought of something. She'd been busy with thinking about Freyja and Cronis and everything they did to bother her that she'd forgotten about an assignment she had due soon. It was for Charms and she was sure Professor Poliakoff would be pretty peeved off if she didn't hand that in.

She'd been doing so well in his class that it seemed like she was starting to be one of his favorites. (It was easy for a student to think that, but the professor had no real favorites. He didn't like that.) He was usually good about helping out with homework assignments any of his students didn't understand but she felt like she needed to figure things out of her own some times, instead of going to him every time she didn't understand something.

Guess that 'ask three, before me' rule was important.

She knew Cronis was good at Charms but there was no way she was going to ask him for any help right now. Glancing between the other two that were with her, she decided that if she wanted to get any actual help, she'd probably have to ask Cassie.

Turning to the other girl, Hit asked, "Hey Cassie, do you get the Charms homework? There's something I'm not getting but I don't really want to go ask the professor about it because I'd feel like I'm depending on him too much."
