What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It was so close to summer, so close to the end of the school year, just two more weeks left. Two weeks that she hadn't wanted to come any closer than they were already getting. The end of the school year meant the end of her being able to be at Hogwarts and that meant she had to go back home for the summer. Back home to a family whom she didn't fit in with. To a Slytherin father and Slytherin brothers, a sister who hated her, and a mother who was always too busy for anyone aside from her husband, great. All that was just great, perfect really.

The Gryffindor girl walked along the path leading down to the Great Lake, chuckling to herself somewhat sadly as she thought about how her summer was going to go. It's always fun to almost immediately groan at the thought of having to spend the summer with your family. Having been deep in her thoughts while walking, Hit hadn't realized that she had reached the lake and as the path began to curl into a small hill, she tripped over a root from a nearby tree that had become exposed, no doubt from the way the ground sloped in that area.

A yelp escaped the sixteen year old's lips as she tumbled toward the ground face first and she immediately covered her face with her hands to keep herself from getting hurt too badly. She tried to move herself to a sideways position and she rolled down the remainder of the hill, holding her arms close to her body. When she finally stopped rolling, she was inches away from the edge of the water and she found herself staring at the sky, giggling about what had just happened. Hit did not move from where she was and she continued giggling, wondering if anyone had seen her fall. A sigh escaped her lips as she finally calmed down enough to stop laughing and she thought, Maybe this summer won't be so bad after all. I mean, I'll have my friends..

Her thought stopped short. Friends. Who would she actually hand around during the summer? Ryo and Sayuri were always busy, as were the lives of graduates who had jobs and were actual adults. Who else was there? Oh yeah, him. Another sigh escaped her lips and Hit brought one of her arms, that had been outstretched on the ground, up to her shirt where her heart was and she clutched the spot hard feeling a small but sharp pain as she thought about him.

Him being her friend Apollo.

The brunette had not spoken to Apollo much since their encounter at a cafe where she bolted out the door and ran right into the middle of a duel and was hit by two spells at once, all because he had mentioned them moving in together and Hit's imagination had taken it too far. He had surely meant as friends, but her desires had wanted him to mean something more. She hadn't wanted to go to close to him after that because she thought she had made her feelings all too clear and she hadn't wanted to do that. She had wanted to keep her feelings for him a secret because she didn't want to risk his rejection and their friendship changing.

One more sigh from her lips was heard and still in the same position, Hitame continued to stare at the blue sky, watching the clouds as they moved across her line of vision.

Apollo wasn't the boy that Hitame had grown up with. In another world, they might have been matched in some kind of arranged marriage, and ended up as happy as naive, pretentious purebloods could possibly be. But that just wouldn't be the case. They weren't even really friends anymore, after she took off on him and never explained. Perhaps that was why he didn't really feel guilty about giving her strange looks all year. He couldn't help it.

He was out on the grounds when he heard gasps and saw people point. A girl was tumbling down the hill at a wickedly fast speed, only to end up rolling all the way down the biggest hill. It took seconds for him to realize who it was. By the time she came to a stop, he was rushing across the grass to her side, disappointment set aside for the moment. So there they were: the family outcast and the son that was too disobedient to be trusted. The former friends.

"Hit," he breathed, using his hand to catch him as he skidded to the ground next to her. She seemed content enough but he wasn't sure. "Are you alright?"

[OOC: totally fine c:]

It was funny, her thoughts kept getting her in trouble with the people she called her friends and yet she couldn't stop herself from having those weird thoughts. She knew that her feelings, and thoughts that came with them, would probably remain unrequited and that she should just forget about anything happening but she couldn't.

She didn't even know when she had started feeling the way she did. They'd been friends for a while, so it was natural that she might have gotten so used to him that she might like him. Her eyes widened slightly as she realized something, what if she didn't actually like him but was only so used to him that she thought she did. No, she was always certain about any strong feeling she's had.. She couldn't be imagining this.

Hit jumped when she felt a presence next to her and drew her eyes away from the spot in the sky she'd been staring at once she heard the voice that was speaking. Her eyes widening again, she was greeted by a worried Apollo. "Apollo.. I - yeah I'm fine." She blinked at him, sitting up, trying to keep the smile from seeing his worried expression off her face. "I - Did you see me fall?"

He was confused to find that she seemed fairly comfortable about having just taken a fall down a hill. He was glad to know that she was all right, though. He wouldn't have wanted her to be harmed, obviously. Still, her question made him laugh.

"Yes," he told her bluntly, a chuckle shaking his shoulders as he sank onto the grass and bent his knees so he could rest his forearms on top of them. "Yes, I definitely saw that."

Taking on a seriousness that he realized he had lost, he shook his head. "I mean, actually, no. I definitely just ran over here for no reason. Whichever you would prefer to believe."

A giggle escaped the lips of the Gryffindor as she listened to Apollo speak. She'd turned her gaze away from him as she finally sat up, hugging her knees to her chest. She wasn't sure which one she would've believed had she not known who he was but she did and with her eyes back on him, she lowered her head to her knees.

"Y'know, with the way you've been acting toward me, I wouldn't know which one to believe." She told him, her smile dropping from her face slightly. "But it's not completely your fault, so it's okay." She added, as an after thought.

He had every right to act weird with her, she had brought it upon herself after what had happened. Hit wanted things to not be awkward between them, but it seemed like she was doomed to be forever awkward when it came to Apollo. She sighed, running a hand through her hair to try to smooth it out. She felt a leaf in her hair and pulled it out, staring at it in the palm of her hand.
