Evangeline Grace Montoya
______________________________________________________________________________________

------------------------------------------------------------
INTRODUCTION
------------------------------------------------------------

NICKNAMES/ALIAS:  Eva, Eve

AGE: 16

ALLEGIANCE:Neautral

HOGWARTS HOUSE: TBD

WAND: Dogwood with a unicorn tail core, swishy and good for charms

PLAY BY: Barbara Palvin

------------------------------------------------------------
APPEARANCE
------------------------------------------------------------

GENERAL APPEARANCE: Evangeline Montoya is a perfect mesh of her Irish/French mother and her Spanish father. A delicate, smaller, more exotic version of her stunning mother with the good humored smile of father and the darker hair of her paternal lineage.

Born, first and foremost, with an excellent genetic disposition for lean muscle and high metabolism, Eva has never had a problem keeping off the baby fat, if anything she has a problem keeping it ON. She is a ravenous eater and a complete sweet-freak but nothing seems to stick indefinitely. Couple that with an overabundance of nervous energy and a need to constantly be moving and you've got yourself a fit, toned, and sometimes a bit to slender morsel. Her shape would be considered hourglass, though on the slim side of that standard. Thanks to the healthy dose of Spanish genetics, Eva is plush on a diminutive scale with a full, perky bust and gentle curves. Her hips are wide and her thighs slightly thick leading into a high rear end: tight and round if not a bit on the small side of voluptuous. An eye for thicker women might find her a bit tomboyish or maybe delicate but that is only because she is on such a smaller scale. Barefoot, she barely reaches five foot flat, but Eva favors heels and so is more typically five foot three.

Eva's over all facial structure is fine boned. Her face is a gently tapered oval with a straight, narrow nose and a full pouty mouth. Her skin tone can range, depending on the amount of sun she is getting at the time, from a creamy Irish pale to a softly glowing tan. The gift of her father's blood means she does not burn, but she will always be the palest in a long line of brown faced family members. Her cheek bones are low and wide and her chin is a bit weak but the overall the effect is a pleasant one. Her eyebrows have a natural arch to them and are a bit thicker (she refuses to allow anyone near her face with a pair of tweezers) than the current fashion; they frame her eyes in an almost mischievous way. Her eyes are compelling. Though she often changes their color they are naturally an almost translucent blue violet. They are expressive and bright. Should she tell a lie, a quick observer will notice the shift in them. Her emotions play in the color, sadness darkening them into a hazy steel, happiness brightening them considerably. Each is framed by equally thick, sooty lashes - a dark cocoa brown naturally though often coated expertly by mascara. She's partial to cat-eye liner on her top lid and jewel tones brushed on her lower.

Eva is especially fond of outrageous make-up. She adores color and does elaborate make-ups for holidays and special occasions. Most often, she can be found with perfectly shaped cherry red lips but she's also been known to wear blue, black, and really any other color, lipstick. Her hands are long fingered and delicate, with perfectly trimmed, buffed, and polished nails in a wide array of colors. The only time you'll see Eva's actual nail is when she is cleaning off the most recent color in preparation for the next. If she chips a nail, she fixes it immediately. Rainbow, checkerboard, polka dots, Eva loves nail art almost as much as she loves painting her face.

Her smile is crooked and sweet. Her front teeth are a bit larger than she would like them but not to the point she’s ever considered doing anything about it. Her canines too are large - leaving her with an almost wolfish smile. She's rarely seen without a smile. Her expressions as big and bright as her personality. They take over her face so that natural beauty is diminished in favor of the general impression of cuteness. A dimple in each cheek creates a charming frame for a warm grin. Eva wears her hair long, ranging from just below her rear to the bottom of her rib cage, and the color changes frequently. Born a classic dark brunette, Eva favors odd colors or color combinations.  She’s dyed her hair often, one half of her head is a soft honey gold while the other is her natural color, but she's also worn her hair burgundy, violet, and black. Born with soft waves she straightens her hair only to then braid it into pigtails or into elaborate updos that frame her lovely face. Most often she leaves her hair in a soft sunkissed auburn but she enjoys playing with options when not at Hogwarts and under dress code.

Her style of dress is usually fairly conservative in cut. She might expose the length of her throat and perhaps a shoulder but often she covers her ample assets, embarrassed by them. and almost always wears leggings under her dresses. When not dressed in her perfectly ironed uniform she loves texture, pattern, and color. Fashion is just another fun way to express her creative side and she's has a silly sense of humor that leaks into her wardrobe. Ironic tee shirts are a thing for Eva as are large elaborate jewelry and oddly colored handbags. She's never been one to shy away from trying to set a new trend even if it doesn’t always work.

Evangeline is compact, graceful, moving with a slow swaying gait that emphasizes her pleasant shape unconsciously. She'd cringe if she knew that when she walked her hips swished but that's what you get when your posture is flawless (thank you, Mama) and your hips are wide. Her Mama was raised to be a lady and Eva is as able, as any young debutante, to walk through a crowd with a stack of books on her head. Her back is straight, her shoulders back. If she thinks she's being watched she has a nasty tendency to crumple slightly, closing in onto herself so she appears even smaller than she really is - but eventually she straightens out, afraid to shame her mother's teaching. Her manners may not be exquisite but the way she moves is.
Pretty, petite, ethereal.

CHARACTER HISTORY
------------------------------------------------------------

EARLY YEARS: Evangeline Grace Montoya was born the child of a match made in true and absolute love. Her parents, the striking Saraphina Halloway and darkly handsome Freddy Montoya, met while the young Miss Halloway's family was vacationing in Madrid, Spain and from the moment brown eyes met blue the fire between them raged, white hot and eternal. The only hitch? The Halloway family was a reasonably well-to do pureblooded family from the Southern Irish coast, and the Montoya were just the right side of Half-bloods, Freddy's own mother was a muggle woman and several of his 3rd and 4th cousins as well.

Saraphina's father forbade the relationship and as is common in most instances of parental interference, the teenagers continued to see each other ... just covertly. Their love would not be denied, especially by stuffy old purists. When Saraphina graduated from Hogwarts (Ravenclaw) they dropped all pretense and she packed a bag, leaving a note on her nightstand, and ran away to Madrid to be with her Ferdinand. Not a full year from the day they married they conceived their love child and so, the story begins.

Eva was born on a brisk October morning in Madrid, Spain and ushered into the world with great excitement. The Montoya family is large and children have always been considered the greatest blessing. For the first 7 years of her life she was surrounded by extended family, sweet faced Aunties and teasing Uncles and a whole circus of cousins bent on either entertaining or traumatizing the youngest member of the Montoya clan. Sunbathing and wading in the ocean, she spent her formative years as a wild child, half animal and barefoot. Days were filled with sunshine and saltwater, nights with reading and catching fireflies. When her Mama told her she would be a big sister shortly after her 8th birthday it was the greatest birthday gift she could ask for! A new companion, something small and sweet to love and teach. She made grand plans to teach her little sibling to fly a kite, hunt fireflies, and how to escape the worrisome advances of the rag tag group of preteen boys in the villa, that seemed to honestly enjoy pulling her pigtails. And then Saraphina grew ill. Instead of gaining weight and that healthy pregnancy glow, she became emaciated - unable to hold anything down. The pregnancy was rough and for the first time in her short life, Eva learned fear.

Papa moved the family to London, desperate to keep his beloved as close to the most advanced medical witch population as he could. And this move paid off. Saraphina was not comfortable, no, but she grew stronger and began to fill out. The fetus thrived. Born a month early, little Catolina was delicate, fragile, but she was alive and so was her mother. Eva could have learned to resent the creature who took so much of her Mama's time, instead, when they put the 4lb 15oz pink faced Cat into her trembling arms she felt love. Bone deep, unending love. From that moment on they were nigh on inseparable. Eva was chased out of Cat's nursery weekly, bundled back into her own bed instead of the pallet she'd made on the floor. When Cat began to walk, Eva was behind her, eyes wide with anxiety arms extended to catch her bold and fearless little sister. Saraphina laughed and said that Eva did all the worrying, so her little Kitten could be brave. It almost broke Eva's heart to leave her sister to attend Hogwarts but went she did.

Pitifully small compared to the rest of her peers she could hardly tote her own trunk and she trembled and shook under the sorting hat, sure that it would throw her out on her rump. She was afraid, but she was determined, quick on her feet and brave in her own way. As Cat learned to write, first childish scribbles and then more proper letters, Eva allowed herself to settle into Hogwarts and enjoy the opportunity to expand her mind. She fell in love with learning, steadily ranking in the top 5% of her class. Summers are still filled with sunshine and saltwater, but now, her days are full of potions and charms and handsome Quidditch players she's to afraid to make eye-contact with. No longer the wild-child with a tangled mane and barefeet, Eva is proud to be a Hogwarts student, even as her time here is slowly coming to an end.

HOGWARTS YEARS: Quiet, demure, unexceptional. Eva has made friends, found lovers, lived for the library and the grounds on a brisk morning like any other student at Hogwarts. She’s immersed herself entirely in the experience of being away from home, of standing on her own two feet and making a name for herself out from under her mother’s firm command and her younger sisters more easy flamboyancy. She is not daring, she is not bold. There are no grand stories to tell in which she instigated trouble or saved the day. She is just another pretty face and clever mind in a sea of students in billowing robes.
