Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Picking wings off flies Empty Re: Picking wings off flies

Katherine knew full well that she should have been attending lessons more than she was. But they just made her so tired - especially the more physical ones like... Defense Against the Dark Arts or Charms or something. It was better that she liked Potions and Herbology best. Those were easier, and she ended up with more energy to do assignments for the classes she had skipped.

She wasn't in Transfiguration that morning as she should've been. Instead, she was wandering around, and ended up ambling down the third floor's main hallway. She would have to be there in time to meet Professor Ashcroft anyway, so she figured it was just as well.

When it came time, she just hoped that she would be chided for her grades rather than her absences, but what did she know? Maybe she would just be asked after in a more general sense. She was... sort of better lately. It was disappointing that Lily wasn't around to keep her on the right path anymore, but that couldn't be helped.

So Kit knocked gently on the professor's door, tapping her heels together and clasping her hands behind her back as she waited.

Picking wings off flies Empty Re: Picking wings off flies

Katherine blinked up at the professor, surprised by how chipper the woman was. Perhaps she always was and Kit just wasn't in lessons often enough to know. Oops. But she did as she was asked to, regardless, stepping into the office and glancing over her shoulder as the door swung to.

The question was a bit unexpected as well, but she shrugged one shoulder and let her lips part as she considered it, finally coming up with, "I wouldn't mind."

Her voice came out about as timidly as usual. It wasn't the sort of voice that fit her face, her brother Mes always said, because he felt she ought to have been a bit louder, a bit more fierce. Solid, maybe, would be the right word.

Her ankles crossed and she set her hands in her lap, just as her mother had done before her passing, and watched the professor a bit warily. "Um," she started, before stopping and forcing herself to speak properly, as she knew she was supposed to. "I'm sorry, was there something specific that you wanted to talk about?"
