Butterflies and Sweets

Skipping school was okay right? As long as Quincy didn't find out everything would be okay right? She no longer had to worry about what Noah had to say about it since she and Quincy had left. So Adela had sneaked off grounds and found her way to Diagaon Alley. Her blonde hair was falling out of a bun on top of her head, and her face was bare. She hadn't tried today like she use to. She use to do her very best everyday to please a father who didn't care, but none of that no longer mattered. She wore a messy looking t-shirt that was two sizes to big and a pair of ratty looking sweat pants.
Quietly she had roamed up and down the row of shops before entering sugarplum's sweets shoppe. She didn't know what she was doing. She had left almost everything behind the night she and her brother had left their fathers home, including any currency she had saved. The night they showed up on Kai Rosier's door step.
Kai. she thought a small smile appearing on her face. he was so kind to help them in their time of need, but the way he looked at her. it made her feel something she had never felt before.

"Caiden, honey?" Kai's body went rigid when he stopped at the end of the stairs, about to step on the first one. He turned around, gripping wooden stair rail. "Yes, mother?" Calling her by her name was the thing he usually did, it's because he knew it makes her angry, but he didn't want to listen ten minute long tirade that would come when she'd hear her name, he had other business to do and wanted to leave house as soon as possible. Kai could tell his mother noticed the change, based on the way her brows raised but she didn't say anything. "Where are you heading to?"

Sighing he run a hand through his hair, it grown longer than he usually kept it, but he was too lazy to cut it off, maybe he could do that outside, maybe, but most likely not, he was too eager to go to the Diagon Alley to stop by hair salon. "Outside." With that told, he turned and went down the stairs, taking two stairs at time. Time, he didn't actually have much of that, didn't he? Kai hated this, hated sneaking out, especially since he saw Quincy's book on floor of his room while he was getting ready. It was the first time he kept something a secret from Quincy, but he knew he'd go ballistic if he ever found out, and he wouldn't couldn't stop so there's nothing left than to keep this away from Quinn.

He apparated in the Diagon Alley and walked towards Sugarplum's Sweets Shoppe in a rush, it was weird place for meeting someone but it was place Quincy hated, and as such perfect place although it didn't give too much privacy. Kai opened the door and stepped inside, scanning the room for the person he was looking for. Spotting her, he passed the room and stopped few steps away from here.

"Hello Adelaide."

"Kai!" joy spread across her face at the sound of his voice. "Um, Hi" she smiled turning from the candy she had been eyeing to see him. He looked just as he had the last time she had seen him. She couldn't hide the excitement seeing him had brought her. She took a step closer to him, "How have you been?"
Addie should have dressed nicer. She should have done her hair, or her make-up. She should have tried, but this wasn't any worse than the night she had shown up on his door step after the confrontation with her father.

"I'm better now when I can finally see you, sugar." He grinned at her, feeling adrenaline rush because someone could caught them together. Yes, technically they weren't doing anything inappropriate, just talking, and that wasn't even weird given the fact that she was younger sister of his best friend, more like a brother actually. The thing that made his blood running faster was the fact speaking wasn't the only thing Caiden Rosier wanted to do with Adela, and that made things more dangerous. More interesting.

He leaned on the shelf on the left of him in a relaxed manner and hoped no one could go through his facade and see how much was he actually nervous, although rational part of his brain kept telling him he doesn't need to be nervous, the same part was also telling him to get the hell away from Quincy little sister so he ignored its advices. "And you? You look stunning, by the way." Kai glanced above her head spotting an empty table in the corner of the room, it was one of tables with spell that cumulated prices of sweets put down on it to make the payment easier, he then grabbed the jam of candies he saw her eyeing earlier and took her petite hand in his. "Come on, I see a perfect place to sit." Kai walked her towards the table without stopping to take a jar of some candies for himself, he already know what he wants to devour, and candies weren't that thing.

He's so going to regret this if Quinn ever founds out.

"Much better," Addie agreed with a nod a pink spreading across her face at his complement, "Thank you," She murmured. His hand was warm where it touched hers, a feeling she liked as she blindly fallowed him. Quincy wouldn't mind this would he? he would love it. His best friend and his sister being close? There was nothing wrong with it. A stray hair fell out of her bun, laying across her face and she pushed it out of the way. "You are looking very handsome today," She spoke softly her stomach turning nervously. 'Why are you so nervous?' she wondered 'It's just Kai. you've known him forever.' she tried to rationalize with her self. But, this wasn't the same. This could change everything.

"Thanks dear“, Kai smiled looking at her, as he wondered where is her brother at the moment, knowing it would be utterly awful if he found them like this. Quincy Roseberry probably wouldn't mind seeing his sister with anyone else, but since he knew the real truth behind death of Kai's wife that changed things between two of them and since the day Kai told him the truth Quincy kept his sister out of Kai's reach, it was subtile, but Rosier still noticed slight change in his voice when he talked about her, like he was warning him not to do anything, not that he could do anything, for the matter, since he was always around them while they were at Rosier's. Quincy's uneasiness was pointless since Kai would never do anything to his sister, he wouldn't harm her, she was his best friend sister, yet there's that little fact that he killed his wife, and that, in Quincy's eyes, changed things. A lot. "So how was your day? How are things at Hogwarts?“ The second question was a subtile way of asking if Quincy suspects anything, he hated bringing him in their conversation, knowing his name would destroy the atmosphere, yet he needed to know how much time they have today. Kai guessed that they have more time today than usually since he persuaded his cousin Ivanova to spend some time with Quinn, Quinn always had a soft spot for that girl, and since he promised her lots of chocolate for the task, she should ensure at least a couple of hours for Kai and Adela.
