FULL NAME: Jane Anette Goulding

NICKNAMES:  She's probably got plenty.

AGE: 23.
Birthday: April 10th.

ALLEGIANCE: Neutral, but she'll work with whoever can get her what she wants. So she fluctuates here and there.

HOGWARTS HOUSE: N/A. Beauxbatons Graduate

WAND: Acacia wood, Dragon Heartstring, 9 2/5 inches, swishy

"A very unusual wand wood, which I have found creates tricky wands that often refuse to produce magic for any but their owner, and also withhold their best effects from all but those most gifted. This sensitivity renders them difficult to place, and I keep only a small stock for those witches or wizards of sufficient subtlety, for acacia is not suited to what is commonly known as 'bangs-and-smells' magic. When well-matched, an acacia wand matches any for power, though it is often underrated due to the peculiarity of its temperament."

Jane is a natural blonde, but it sets her apart from her family, which she loves. She's comfortable with her body, but she tends to wear clothes that either show off her curves or hide them. At home, she wears clothes that are rather loose, but in public she takes more care than that. She really does like dressing up, but she needs to be able to come back to her flat and just relax. Her hair is either pinned up or down and curled. She has her makeup prep routine down to less than ten minutes, and is rather proud of that.

It doesn't fall strictly into appearance, but her voice is particularly distinct. She has a very funny way of talking, in that she speaks rather slowly, and almost everything she says sounds coy. She has unwittingly and subconsciously picked it up from watching her mother. Even if she doesn't have any interest in the person, or if what she's saying is perfectly innocent, it's the same. It often seems to make people think she's trying it on with their significant other, when really she means to be complimenting them genuinely or just having a chat with them. It does not win her many female friends.

02. Marry well. She doesn't do the romance thing - mostly because she has never genuinely experienced it. If she falls for someone, it'll be on accident.
03. If she find success without marriage, she'd really like to adopt a child or two.

01. The pitch of her voice changes when she's lying, either up or down depending on who she's talking to.
02. Reading is not her favorite pastime, but if it will get her ahead, she'll put her whole heart into learning what she needs to know. She just waits until she absolutely has to care before she really does so.
03. She is actually incredibly talented when it comes to magic (in the areas she knows), but in growing up around her parents, she isn't convinced that she'll reach the success that she wants strictly via magic. So she doesn't use it as often as she could. If she took the time to learn about other areas, she would likely succeed in those areas, too. She just hasn't bothered applying herself.
04. If Jane thinks that something she wants will be taken from her, she'll lie about being unwell or upset or anything else in order to keep it.

DEMENTOR: She has a tendency to get in too deep during her attempts at getting what she wants, and it has created at least one dangerous situation that she would never like to relive.

VERITASERUM: She has several hidden talents that could make her extremely successful, but she's too afraid of rejection to follow through with any of them. She keeps up practice, but it doesn't mean she'll ever be brave enough to use them.

MIRROR OF ERISED: She wants success in any way she can get it, even if that means through marrying well.

Guardians of birthdays, holidays and celebrations, ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes.

All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. ESFJs, as do most SJs, bear strong allegiance to rights of seniority. They willingly provide service (which embodies life's meaning) and expect the same from others.

ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. They by nature "wear their hearts on their sleeves," often exuding warmth and bonhomie, but not infrequently boiling over with the vexation of their souls. Some ESFJs channel these vibrant emotions into moving dramatic performances on stage and screen.

Strong, contradictory forces consume the ESFJ. Their sense of right and wrong wrestles with an overwhelming rescuing, 'mothering' drive. This sometimes results in swift, immediate action taken upon a transgressor, followed by stern reprimand.

The world is a dangerous place, not to be trusted. Not that the ESFJ is paranoid; 'hyper-vigilant' would be more precise.

ESFJs have the ability to express warmth, rage, and a range of other emotions. Actions are encouraged or rebuked based on how they affect other people, especially people near and dear to the ESFJ. This type's vocal decisiveness predisposes many of its number to facility with administration and supervision.

"Where's the party?" ESFPs love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive nature of this type is almost always entertaining. And ESFPs love to entertain -- on stage, at work, and/or at home. Social gatherings are an energy boost to these "people" people.

New! ESFPs are attracted to new ideas, new fashions, new gadgets, new ______. Perhaps it's the newness of life that attracts ESFPs to elementary education, especially to preschool and kindergarten.

ESFPs love to talk to people about people. Some of the most colorful storytellers are ESFPs. Their down-to-earth, often homespun wit reflects a mischievous benevolence. Almost every ESFP loves to talk. Some can be identified by the twenty minute conversation required to ask or answer a simple factual question.

Jane was born several years after her elder siblings, but the two fought day and night, so Jane was able to sort of work her way into the favor of each one individually. Perhaps that was when she learned how to convince people to do what she wanted. Or perhaps they just felt bad for the littlest member of the Goulding family. Almost immediately, Jane found herself in love with her mother's life, even though her siblings were happy to hide from the fame and invasive things. Unfortunately, Felicia was not very supportive, always focusing on the things that she did rather than what her children did. If Jane tried to take on a project, Felicia was more than happy to show up and take over - be that a science project or a birthday party.

By the time Jane was the only child left at home, she was being sent daily to stay with a sitter while her parents worked. Sometimes, she was sent for a few days - if not a week - back to back to stay with her mother's best friend. The redhead turned into the more concrete parental figure in Jane's life without much effort at all. It just made the distance between Jane and her parents (her mother, particularly) all the more obvious. She continued to try and impress Felicia, but she wasn't ever sure that she accomplished that.

It was bizarre for Jane to go to school where her father taught, but she wasn't required to take the class he taught, so she never did. Still. There was no trouble to be had without her father becoming insanely furious with her. So she learned how to skirt the rules and make it seem like everything that happened was the fault of someone else - or of no one at all. Most often, "trouble" came in the form of Jane making a grand show of how hard she was trying or how hurt she felt, in order to convince people to change their minds and do what she wanted them to.

Somehow, she didn't have to try at hard at her classes as her fellow students did. She spent a great deal of time with girls the year below her and in the same year as her, and managed to convince them to help her with her attempts to get her way. As much time as she spent working around things she didn't want to do, Jane truly did absorb the things the professors taught her. Whenever she is expected to do something, and she can't get out of it, she does whatever it takes to ensure that she comes out on top. If she doesn't get what she intended, or doesn't do very well, it sort of messes with her, and her irritable nature makes her lash out at those around her. That, unfortunately, has never changed.

After graduating from Beauxbatons, Jane wanted to be out from under her parents' gaze - and out from under her mother's shadow. So she moved to live with her sister, Bea, in London. Bea never really had the drive to work in any areas that their mother could judge her on, which was wise. Jane, however, had always looked up to Felicia, and wanted everything that her mother had, if not more. So ten months after moving in with Bea, Jane found her own place. She's been in and out of jobs, never quite finding anywhere that she fit. She never had much faith in relationships, so she has never bothered with sticking to one of her own. As well as her parents got along, they turned into more of a friendship over the years, instead of a romance. It sort of showed her than she could be just as happy living with her best friend forever instead of trying too desperately to find that forever romance.

She has experienced her fair share of disappointments, particularly in her few attempts at dating. Most often, the people she's been with have grown tired of waiting for her to be attached in return, so they've taken to cheating on her. Unfortunately, she was more angry than heartbroken.

She hasn't moved in the 5 years since she picked out the flat. Currently, she has no attachment to a faction, but she does have a job that she's been in for nearing a year. She and her brother Lyle work with their "second mother," Kasey Miller. Jane sets up her events and Lyle watches her kids in the afternoon while he isn't writing for the Prophet. They are incredibly similar after spending so long together, and although she's closer to Lyle than to Kasey, Jane firmly believes she would be lost without them. She does love Bea, but the older sister is on her way to getting married, and the other two know how distant she will become thanks to it. So they've started learning how to be distant again.

She hasn't been home except for Christmases, but she is always sure to send letters and gifts when other important days roll around. Even if she doesn't always get them in return. She wants to start moving up in the world, even if that means she can't work for Kasey anymore.
