Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

There's Something In The Air Empty There's Something In The Air

(ooc: A very short intro to the twins -- Polyvore set *note: Apollo is in the works, so he's currently an NPC)

It was actually quite unusual that the Zabini family would actually be seen traveling as one four-part unit. More often than not, the family split into twos – Christian and their mother, Apollo and their father. But summer had found its way into their hearts, it seemed, for the whole of their family (aside from one key player) had packed their things and popped over to the Ravensdale Resort. Ever the sort to enjoy beaches, the Zabini twins hadn’t objected in the slightest.

It was the pleasant sort of warm that didn’t make instant promises of burns, and the fairly classical French feel that made Christian so excited to arrive. That, and the potential for new acquaintances and new adventures. As much as he loved spending time with his friends from school, or even with his brother, he was looking forward to new faces and ideas.

Even still, Christian didn’t turn down Apollo’s offer when it was suggested that they head out to the beach to spend their first afternoon. It was a rarity indeed that the elder twin would suggest they do something together, even if he was only a few minutes older.

So Christian donned swim trunks and a sleeveless shirt, picked up his towel and a few typical beach necessities (sunscreen, drinks, the like) before following Apollo down the walkway and onto the sand. They chose a spot not far from the waterline, spreading their beach towels and settling down. Although they were quiet, it was a sort of comfortable silence, which was filled with each debating over putting on sunscreen right away, as well as whether or not to relax for a time or to head straight for the water. Eventually, Apollo shucked his shirt, sprayed on a layer of the lotion, and ambled into the water.

Christian, on the other hand, lay back and just watched the sky for a time, before turning his head to the side and settling in for a bit of people watching.

There's Something In The Air Empty Re: There's Something In The Air

Post by Charlotte Dyllan Wed Jul 16, 2014 5:35 am

If Jack and Max weren't going to take a proper honeymoon Charlie decided to take one for them. She had sent out an owl to Nate, Caspian, and Trisha earlier in the week telling them her plans to make a day at Ravensdale. There was no way the Dyllan could afford to stay overnight at such a resort but, really, there was nothing in the rules against appariting in for a free day of sun and style before heading home for the night. Charlie hadn't heard back from any of her friends but hadn't been deterred and had gone ahead with packing her swimsuit and sunscreen and making the seconds-long trip to France.

With a puff of ash, Charlie tumbled out of a fireplace in the lobby of Ravensdale resort. Her sunglasses tumbled to the tile floor and her cover-up lifted to unladylike levels to reveal skin that she had planed to save for the beach. Charlie quickly straitened her clothing and picked up the rogue glasses with as much grace as she could muster, slipping them back on top of her head as she walked towards the open doors. It took less than a minute for her to catch sight of the ocean.

As soon as Charlie reached sand she slipped off her flip flops and put them in the bag with the rest of the belongings she had brought along for the day trip. The white sand was almost too hot to walk across where it had been baking in the sun, forcing the Dyllan to step lightly and quickly down the beach until she reached areas where more umbrellas had been set up by the other visitors. She began to scan the crowds for the perfect spot to put down her own towel when a familiar face stood out.

"Zabini?" she called with a smile, throwing a hand up to wave as she walked to a comfortable speaking distance away. "You're looking tan."

Charlie had never been close to Christian Zabini (in fact she had probably had three real conversations with him in all the time they had been at school) but they had a surprising number of mutual friends. He had always seemed like a decent enough bloke from what she had seen around the common room and she had to admit, for a Hufflepuff, he wasn't bad looking. "You here all alone?" Charlie asked, glancing around at the surprisingly calm section of sand that Christian seemed to have found himself. But no - there was already a second towel next to him. Was she interrupting a date? How embarrassing.

Were it not for their being in the same year and house, Christian would never have known the redhead waving as she crossed the sand to stop next to him. Her last name escaped him, but he offered a wave in recognition regardless. "Don't I always?" He joked in return, not the least bit awkward in his recognition of his heritage.

"Ah, no. The family is here. Parents are still in the villa, though." Gesturing to Apollo where he was wading into the water, Christian added, "The Slytherin is out there, probably brooding or whatever it is he does for fun."

A good-natured smirk appeared before he sat up to ensure that he seemed invested in whatever conversation they would be having. "Bring anyone with you?" He asked belatedly. "You can join if you want. Apollo won't mind."

Christian looked over to his brother, who had glanced around and caught sight of Charlotte. Apollo didn't move to return and greet her, but Christian couldn't say he was surprised. His twin was not often interested in talking to new people. But if the time came, the elder brother would undoubtedly be diplomatic and polite to a fault, which rarely lowed him to keep the new acquaintances he found.
