Post by Thaorson Kam Elldir Thu Nov 21, 2013 2:10 am

[OOC[ I know the elder wand is not in Albus's tomb, and that Thaor is no longer the leader of the death eaters, he is not in the right state of mind and is dilusional. Smile ]/OOC]

A faint 'crack' could be heard as a hooded figure appeared from nowhere into the middle of the street, barely visable through the dense night fog. His smile hidden from sight by the skull mask that he wore, as were the many scars, cuts, and bruises all across his body, hidden by his black cloak and hood.

Thaor was on a mission. He knew the elder wand still lay in the tomb of Albus Dumbledore, and he needed it. But there was no reason he couldn't have some fun on his way to get it. He drew his wand, and with a flick, fire spat from the end of it and caught Honeydukes on fire, he then aimed his wand at the Hogs Head and repeated the same spell, immediately catching it on fire.

Burn it all! He screamed, throwing both fists into the air and looking towards the sky, letting out a scream. He caught a couple more buildings on fire then continued up the path that lead to Hogwarts, catching trees and random buildings on fire on his way.

When Thaor reached the gates, he revealed the dark mark tattoo on his arm and pressed his wand to it, calling all the death eaters to come to him. Soon, these walls will fall! he yelled into the night sky.

Thaor turned to face the castle, aimed his wand above it, and yelled MOSMORDRE! sending the dark mark flying above the castle, glowing in the night sky.

Post by Michael Tremaine Thu Nov 21, 2013 2:38 am

Michael had settled in for a rare, quiet night at home in his cottage when it seemed that the night was shattered. All hell seemed to break loose. He couldn't even begin to describe the noise he had heard, but he knew it wasn't anything made from white magic.  This was dark arts--flat out.

He grabbed his jacket and his wand and raced outside, putting on the jacket, and looked up into the night sky.  He saw the mosmodre and walls of flame. It made his blood run cold.

There was no reason for it that Michael knew it.  Random violence, probably more killing.  Pointless death and destruction. And the last time he had seen that was...

His mind glitched. Not again! he thought.  Oh, please, don't let him do this again!  He apparated to the castle gates, and his heart sank. He leveled his wand one more time at the man who had been, once upon a time, a fast friend.

"Why?" Michael asked quietly. "What have you done?"

Post by Katherine Lupin Thu Nov 21, 2013 4:17 am

Kate had been shopping in Honeydukes for some special treats for the grandkids when the place burst into a ball of flame. Shoppers and staff began to scream in terror and horror. They began to apparated out, and Kate apparated out with them, appearing on the street.

She looked around to see if she could find anyone or a reason for it, and saw other buildings in the same burning frenzy.  And then she saw the Mosmodre at the school gate.  Her first thought was for the students in the school. She was not going to allow violence to touch the students at the school, and she didn't know it wasn't happening. She was livid, and she apparated to the school gates.

She whirled in like a tempest, in a spiral of violent white smoke, her wand already poised and at the ready.  Her eyes immediately found the form of Thaor Ellidir, and her blood boiled.  She marched forward, her wand pointed at his heart. She didn't know of many other human beings she hated more. They had all gone to school together. They had all trusted him, and he had betrayed them. He had killed so many people, and he had attempted to kill Robert and Khaat both. She wanted Thaor very, very dead.

"Thaor. What the hell are you doing?" her voice was low and fierce.  "I don't know why you're back, but few things would please me more than to kill you where you stand...."

She had every intention of not stopping, of marching up and simply blowing him away, but a strong arm swept around her waist and drew her back tightly to their side.

"Kate," Michael's voice sounded swiftly in her ear, "he's not worth it. Hold your fire."

Thaor scowled as Michael showed up, he waved his wand and his death eater mask disappeared. Michael get out of my way, I need that wand, and if I have to kill one of my best friends because he stood in my way to get it, then that is what must happen. Thaor said, raising his wand to match Michaels.

Just then, Kate Lupin apparated right next to Michael, and raised her wand at him as well. Kill me where I stand? You can't talk to the Deputy Minister for Magic like that, I don't care if you are the wife of the Minister, now get the hell out of my way. Thaor said, switching his wand back and forth from Michael and Kate.

I don't want to hurt either of you, but I will if you make me. We're all friends here, I just need to get that wand. Thaor said, referring to the elder wand.

Bombarda Maxima Thaor shot between the two, hitting the gate with an explosion of metal, and earth, leaving a hole big enough for him to barely fit.

Now if you two will excuse me, I have a wand to retrieve. Thaor said, taking a couple steps toward the gate, making sure not to lower his wand, or turn his back to the two.

Post by Katrina-Carlotta Du Hunt Thu Nov 21, 2013 10:30 pm

Katrina-Carlotta's first thought upon feeling the burn of her Dark Mark, was rage. What idiot thought that they could call a meeting whenever they pleased? Herself and Lorcan were the only ones with the gall to call upon the others out of nowhere like this. Hastily standing and grabbing her extra wand and blades, the witch disapperated with a crack.

Upon her arrival, the witch's nostrils flared in surprise. No, Lorcan hadn't been the one to call her. It had been Elldir. She should've known. The man was insane, having been lost inside the darkness long ago. She'd never met him personally, but she'd done her research upon landing herself a powerful position within the Death Eaters. This man had struck her as someone to look out for.

Glancing around at the burning buildings, her upper lip curled into an expression of pure distain. What, exactly, was this chaos supposed to accomplish? It wouldn't accomplish a thing. There was a reason why Katrina-Carlotta despised the insane. A little crazy, that was one thing, but this? The man had lost every single one of his marbles. He still thought that he was Deputy Minister for Merlin's sake!

Sparing a quick glance towards the skull that hovered menacingly in the sky, the dark witch stormed towards the man whom had once led the Death Eaters. "The wand isn't there, Elldir. You won't find it," Katrina-Carlotta spat upon reaching man. She was of half a mind to kill the wizard where he stood, before he could cause anymore problems.

Wand in hand, she watched Lupin and Tremaine out of the corner of her eye. She was a wanted woman, after all. It wouldn't do to let her guard down and get stunned in the back while conversing with the mad dark wizard before her.

Always Clean Up Your Own Mess Empty Re: Always Clean Up Your Own Mess

Post by Hallie Cooper Thu Nov 21, 2013 11:45 pm

Hallie had, once again, been spending longer than she should in the auror office. It was tough being a trainee. At one point in magical history auror trainees had less work and trained for a longer period of time but there once came a time when that regime would not suffice. Aurors needed to be able to handle anything that came their way, work their hearts and heads into the ground and Hallie was doing exactly that.

On top of that it beat staying home alone, even if she was a married woman her Husband was at Hogwarts - the husband she didn't truly love. The marriage law had resulted in their marriage, an initial knock back but none the less it spurred Hallie on towards her goal of becoming a fully fledged auror. The ministry had offered her a promotion. Hit wizard. That was the dream for an adventurous ex-Gryffindor like Hallie but she didn't want any short cuts or step ups, she wanted to make it their on her own merit. Hallie wanted to prove to the ministry that, despite being somebodies wife, she could still accomplish her lifes goal since the day her Father died.

Most of the overtime Hallie worked was spent shifting through paperwork and dull cases about wizards who'd been selling dodgy cauldrons and ingredients, which was expected given she was on her poisons, toxins and illicit substances rotation. Yet there had been a handful of exciting events she'd been as part of. For instance the incident when the shrieking shack had caught fire, proving to be a victory for Hallie for her capture of undercover, death eater Charlotte Topez. That seemed such a long time ago and had, although positive, led to an unfortunate following in which the celebrated quidditch player had been found dead in the Ministry Atrium. Little did Hallie know that that night the trainee auror would meet the murderer of her first capture, who had given Hallie a months load of dull paperwork.

WEEAH. WEEEEAHH!! The siren. The siren that caused adrenaline to accelerate from her adrenal glands, pump furiously around her body and make her heart hammer violently against her rib cage. It was the same alarm from when Khaat Lupin had been attacked. The mysterious alarm which seemed to take Hallie wherever she needed without knowing the location. It was a curious yet wonderful piece of magic, however this time Hallie knew exactly what to do. Collecting her wand from the desk beside her mountain of parchment she dropped her quill, accidentally knocking the ink bottle over in the process, and hurried towards the fireplace. There she grasped a handful of floo powder, dropped it into the ash and vanished in a flash of emerald flames.

It was as though she'd plummeted feet first down a extra small plughole. Her entire body was compressed, her stomach seemed like it was bubbling in her neck and.... CRASH. Hallie landed in a flutter of smoke and ash in Honeydukes sweet store. If it wasn't for the exploding bon bons rocketing by her feet then Hallie would have been confused as to her new surroundings. Honeydukes was aflame.

Waking her wand around her Hallie thought Protego shielding herself from the flames.

'Aguamenti!' Hallie cried, concentrating all her attention on conjuring a powerful stream of water, which escaped her wand before dancing with the fire. Circling her hand the water began to twirl into a whirlpool battling hard against the flames as she made a path towards the singed door that had fallen to the ground in a shatter of glass.

Naturally Hallie was greeted with screams as she stepped out into the street. People were hurrying from burning buildings, a group of handsome wizards who'd been enjoying a civil conversation in the three broomsticks hurried from the pub and were assisting the elderly to safety whilst a beefy looking witch a severe case of warts was swinging her wand around her head in an attempt to put out the flames of Honeydukes.

Although it wasn't the warlocks or the witch that held her attention. No. A collection of people were silhouetted in the smoke further up the highway.

Shielding her eyes she headed towards the armed figure, her wand pointing forward in front of her as she wafted the smoke out of her path. A lady with white hair whom she recognized from her trip to St Mungo's was stood by an oldish man and not far from them a witch with dark eyes and dark hair. Hallie had never met her in person but she was well aware of who this lady was: Katrina-Carlotta Du Hunt. The most wanted witch in Britain. The assassin.

'What's going on?' Hallie asked, keeping her guard up and not taking her eyes from Du Hunt as she asked Kate Lupin for an update, not even caring if the lady didn't remember her as a trainee auror. The situation was too lethal to stand around chatting about who they were.

Then, her gaze caught a man, a man holding a wand. Hallie's eyes widened at shock at the scene in the direction he was walking: A blasted hole. A blasted hole through wrought iron gates. A blasted hole through the wrought iron gates of Hogwarts. Hogwarts!

Thinking fast Hallie thought about her happiest memory. It was a recent memory, the day she was reunited with Toby. Sure it had been because of a terrible scene, her mugging, but the brightness of seeing Toby alive and somewhat well was more than enough to get her through her mugging. Expecto Patronum She cast non-verbally, conjuring a silvery lioness that pounced swiftly through the hole and up to the castle. Her guardian had gone to warn Amelia Cooper. Her Mother.

Always Clean Up Your Own Mess Empty Re: Always Clean Up Your Own Mess

Post by Marcus Belby Fri Nov 22, 2013 12:14 am

The auror's patronus had lit the skies after the mosmodre.  At Khaat's estate, they had all been alerted. There had been no debate.  The decision had been made, and the rest of them were scrambling to follow orders.

They went to the guest room Tremaine used when he was there, raided his closet, and four of them had changed into his clothing, and armed themselves.

Marcus didn't particularly like wearing the rather professorial style clothing that belonged to the retired catburglar, but Marcus did know how to follow orders. He was buttoning the cuffs of the shirt when the pocketsized bottles of polyjuice were passed around--the only immediately available polyjuice formula at the estate.  There had surely been no time for other identities to be made.

They all opened the bottles, and three of the four took a cautious sniff.  Only one of them did not hesitate. They all took the necessary swallow of the potion, pocketed the bottles in their jacket pockets.

In a moment, there were four Michael Tremaines in the room.  They knew their jobs. They all drew their wands and apparated out, heading to the site where the signals had gone up.

They apparated in together, seeing the real Michael there, with Kate. And there with them, Marcus could see Du Hunt, and auror Hallie Cooper, and some old fart-nutjob.  The school gates had been blown open. Behind them, Hogsmeade was in flames.

"Oh, hell," was the comment from one of the men who had apparated in with Belby. "Be very careful."

Michael Tremaine looked at them and rolled his eyes at them. He seemed to be very edgy about how the nutjob was going to take it that there were now five identical Tremaines there.

Thaor had been tending to the schools herd of hippogrifs when he saw the dark mark fly into the sky above the gates, moments later he saw the gates explode with a loud bang. He instantly drew his wand and ran towards them. Expecto Patronum he said, sending his patronus to the staff lounge to alert Headmaster Rockwood and any other staff who happened to be there.

Thaor stopped dead in his tracks when he saw who was the cause of the explosion and dark mark. A man he knew to be dead. His father. What in the bloody hell are you doing! He exclaimed before aiming his wand directly at his father's chest.

So many things were going through his head, the safety of those in the area, and the students were first. Then he saw what appeared to be five Michael's, Kate, an Auror, and Du Hunt, the most wanted witch in the world. He decided it was best to ignore the five Michaels as anyone with Michael and/or Kate would not be helping his father do this.

I've alerted Headmaster Rockwood, I'm assuming the Aurors are on their way? Jr asked, looking from Kate to Hallie. Take Ms De Hunt into custody, Kate and I should be able to handle my father until more Aurors and Robert show up. He said, keeping his wand pointed at his father's chest the entire time.

Thaor paused as a patronus went flying past him, and turned on the spot. I KNOW THE WAND IS THERE, YOU JUST WANT IT FOR YOURSELF! Thaor yelled, turning his wand onto Katrina, STIUPIFY! he said aiming his wand at her.

I have no son! he said as a young man came and said he can handle Thaor with Kate. Sectum Sempra! he said, slashing his wand through the air.

Thaor turned to the others in the group, If any... Thaor saw five Michaels. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS, YOU CANT STOP ME. WHAT MAGIC IS THIS!?! Thaor was at a loss for words, he couldn't comprehend how there were now five Michaels.

Post by Hallie Cooper Fri Nov 22, 2013 1:24 am

As quickly as her patronus has vanished in the distance four more people, who clearly had taken polyjuice potion to mimic the aged man, had arrived. However, they weren't the only arrivals: the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts had reached the other side of Hogwarts gates his wand in had.

Theodore! How could Hallie have forgotten that her husband was in the castle too, and headmaster at that! Then again it wasn't that surprising. She didn't seem him a better wizard than her Mother who she loved and cared for. Nothing would separate Hallie and her Mother, not even some petty arranged marriage.

So this was Professor Ellidir's father? Hallie had to say he didn't seem in his right mind at all. Screaming about some wand in Albus Dumbledore's tomb whilst casting curses at Katrina. Had it been another witch then perhaps Hallie would have protected Katrina, but she knew Katrina wouldn't need that. Furthermore it could be useful to have Katrina on their side, Thaorson was clearly deranged and dangerous. Two things that shouldn't be together.

'I was the only auror in the office.' Hallie called to the Professor, 'I could- MUM!' The trainee's attention was soon drawn to a familiar blonde figure that was hurrying into view.

'I've alerted the other head of houses and placed the prefects in charge.' Amelia announced as she came side by side with her fellow colleague. Having her office by Ravenclaw Tower had its perks: despite the noisy partying after a quidditch match she was able to get to them quickly. Upon Hallie's request for help she'd ordered her students to remain in the dormitory and not to leave... If the lunatic penetrated the defenses and headed to the castle there would be no telling who would get hurt. Amelia wouldn't let that happen. Already had she lost two students this year (Tiffany Cruz and Bertie Nogard), she wouldn't be losing anymore.

'I think it's best that you drop your wand.' Amelia suggested, raising her wand and too pointing it towards Thaorson's chest, standing her ground in front of the gates of Hogwarts.

Hallie grinned. It was rather exciting having her Mother at Hogwarts, the adventures and excitement that they encountered was increasing by the day and now here they were together face to face with a high risk case.
