Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Fancy Meeting You Here Empty Fancy Meeting You Here

Post by Walter "Xem" Charcovix Tue Aug 13, 2013 12:38 am

It had been just about 3 weeks now since he had officially awoken from his coma. He had met Hitame, talked with Soph [OOC: Post coming soon], and even had to quell a battle between demented death eaters and order members. These first couple of 3 weeks had probably been the busiest he's ever been, well, not counting all of his homework he had due being in Hogwarts of course. Walter went on another one of his daily walks and decided to come into the inn that Hogwarts students all over would come into once in awhile.

He decided to sit next to the window next to the bar, perfect view of Hogsmeade, and easy to order a drink when he wanted to. Xem loved getting that outdoor atmosphere, he opened the window a little some some of the air could get in, it was a pretty hot day today anyways.

Walter looked around and noticed all the people that were around his same age. Absolutely none of them looked familiar to him. It almost feels like I'm in a new London with how long I've been out. Xem knows many horrors must've passed since his leaving but he was glad that there were still people who could get around them and be happy.

It was time he decided that he stopped being someone who kept to himself all the time, and actually open up. He used to be like that during his second year, why not get back to it. Walter did value friends.

He spotted this girl with lovely blond hair, sitting down on a chair next to the bar and across from his position. He had only hoped this girl wouldn't give Xem an awkward or terrible vibe, like that one girl Shelby Malfoy did.

Walter like to do this thing where he would stare and look back at something else so he didn't look so focused on what he was really focusing on. He really just wanted to seem like a chill guy, not some awkward stranger.

He moved a little closer in to where she was sitting. "Uhmm...hey......so uhmm what house are you in?" Walter asked. He had just assumed she goes to Hogwarts. It seems that everyone goes to Hogwarts these days Xem smiled.

Fancy Meeting You Here Empty Re: Fancy Meeting You Here

Tris was spending a day out in the world she so missed when she returned home for the summers. Hogsmeade was that sort of quaint little place during the summers, where during the school year on Hogsmeade weekends, she hardly dared go along with her friends for fear of seeing those who she didn't get along with. Today, thus, seemed like the perfect chance to visit the village and just take in the calmness of the atmosphere.

She loved spending time with her brothers, sister, and parents, but it couldn't be all that surprising that she enjoyed this world she had only known of for about five years. In a house where her older siblings were practically perfect and she was, though loved by all of them, definitely the quiet and different one, it was nice to get out and see new things. Meeting new people was often awkward, but always helped.

Of course, when someone came up to her and started talking to her, she almost didn't believe he was directing his question at her. Frankly, guys didn't start conversations with her, and she wasn't the type to start them either. Attempting to recover from her awkward pause and surprise, she smiled slightly before answering. "I'm a Ravenclaw. Fifth year. Yourself?"

She assumed he was asking because he went to Hogwarts as well, but she couldn't be sure. Tris couldn't remember seeing him around.

"Wow I'm a fifth year as well! only I'm a gryffindor" Walter replied smiling back at her. Walter noticed the awkward pause she had done when he asked her a question. It made Xem laugh a little inside. Usually he would be the guy to be the awkward one in the conversation. Walt didn't usually go up to people and start talking them but he wanted to try something new. After all it's been a year since he's been away from any type of community and it was time to start getting to know his peers.

"How is Ravenclaw by the way? ya never hear too much about them haha" Xem kinda laughed hesitatingly. It's been a whole year since he's heard any news from anybody. He didn't really know any of the recent news. But that's one of the reasons why he was here, to actually know what's going on now instead of being locked up in his shell.

All this smiling gave Xem quite a thirst. He ordered a muggle drink from the bartender near them. He put a straw in his iced tea and began drinking it.

"Would you like a drink?" Xemnas offered her. He had the money and he didn't really mind getting her a drink. She seemed like a nice girl anyways.

To say Tris was being surprised a lot that day would be an understatement. What were the odds that this guy would be in the same year? Not horrible, admittedly, but not overly likely either. "Really? Fancy that." She laughed. At least he didn't seem to know who she was. Some people, of course, didn't care much, but others would write her off before even meeting her.

"Ravenclaw is.. quiet." Trisha admitted, shrugging. "There are quite a few of us, but we spend most of our time reading, or in the common room, honestly." Shaking her head, she looked back at him, "It's kind of lame." Letting out a sort of breathy, disappointed laugh she wanted to ask why she hadn't seen him around. But part of her felt that such questions were the type to scare people off. If someone asked her why they had never met her, it would probably end up with her being incredibly self conscious about the name people called her around Hogwarts. It wasn't like she didn't know about it.

"Oh," She began, surprised, "I, sure. Just something light." She shrugged. The only thing she wasn't used to was alcohol, because her parents were rather uncomfortable with the idea. Tris found that it sort of smelled odd, anyways.

Realizing she hadn't even mentioned her name, she turned in her seat to face him fully. If he found out who she was and left, at least she wouldn't have started getting on with someone who was going to abandon her later. "My name's Trisha Bates, by the way." She offered a hand along with her greeting.

Xem laughed as she explained Ravenclaw to him. He had a feeling that it was just calm and collected with a bunch of reading but he didn't just want to believe typical stereotypes that people give all the houses, Griffs were overly-noble, Huffs were overly-nice, Raves were practically nerds, and no good came from Slyths. He'd hear it among Hogwarts all the time and he wasn't that much of a close minded person. Although he didn't know if it was still like that, Hogwarts must've had a new atmosphere now that it's been an entire year since his awakening.

He snapped calling and getting the bartenders attention to try and get this woman a drink. "Can you get her this......something light.....she wishes to have" Walter said to the bartender giving off a weird and quirky smile back at Trisha.

"My name is Walter, but most people call me Xem.....and by most I pretty much mean all haha, but you can call me either it's fine" Walter told her taking a sip out of his iced tea.

"So.......Trisha......how has the Hogwarts been for you so far" Walt asked with a casually eager face.

Blushing, Trisha looked down at the bartop before looking at the bartender and murmuring, "Tea is fine for me. Sweetened, please." The corners of her mouth tilted up in an embarrassed smile, even though she didn't think he meant to make fun. She was just used to being judged at school, so she was half expecting him to do the same. By that point, though, he didn't seem to be too interested in doing that.

"I'm half tempted to call you Walter just to be the only one," She laughed, brushing off her natural awkwardness, "but if everyone else calls you Xem, you must like it. So, Xem it is, I suppose!" Tris grinned before turning to thank the bartender who dropped off her glass.

As he asked her a question, she tilted the glass, swirling the tea around before taking a sip. Trisha did her best to keep from pausing awkwardly, though she guessed he could tell she was nervous about answering. That question often made her feel anxious. "Well, I'm sure everyone has had rough years so I won't bore you with my stories about how tough things often are around there. But I ended up in a group of nice folks, and enjoy my classes. So, I suppose it's not too bad." She shrugged, not sure if he would buy her pretending life at Hogwarts was fine and dandy.
