Early Years: Celeste and her family had always been close. With no brothers or sisters, she wished that she could have one but was still happy with just her parents. She went to pre-school and then primary school with no knowledge at all of the Wizarding World. Her mother enjoyed cooking and her father worked. She came home to loving parents, and she knew just how lucky she was. Celeste's Hogwarts letter was a surprise to both her and her parents but they all accepted that she was different, having seen it themselves throughout her life.
Hogwarts Years: An extremely excited eleven year old Celeste was thrilled as her parents waved goodbye on her very first train ride to Hogwarts. She didn't meet many people until later on, but while she loved to make new friends she also found that the Hogwarts grounds held a great draw to her. She did relatively well at school, though not excelling particularly in anything other than Defence Against the Dark Arts. Potions was a terrible experience in her opinion, finding that she was not very good at it.

Celeste's eyes were wide as she accepted the second of her birthday presents. She had asked for a few different things and so far she had gotten them all. A tiny puppy was not one of them, but looking into is brown eyes she fell almost instantly in love with it. Moving to hug her parents with a muttered 'thank you' to each, Celeste began to play with the puppy.
After just a few minutes, however, there came a knock at that door and she looked up to her parents who seemed unsure who it was. Hadn't they invited the person to her eleventh birthday? If she was honest, she had expected a party. Not that she minded having only her parents about. Deciding that she wanted to know who it was at the door, the girl picked the puppy up and trailed after her parents.
Both of the Preis adults seemed to be shocked into silence. Tugging on her mother's pant leg, the girl whispered, "What's wrong, mummy?" It wasn't until her eyes drifted upward to glide over the stranger that she, too was stunned into silence. "Oh.. hello."
