Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Devotions Empty Devotions

Post by Alana York Sun Jan 16, 2011 10:33 pm

The dungeons were exceptionally cold that night- too cold for a January evening. Julia felt like what she was doing was the wrong thing to do, and the shivers that were being sent throughout her body were subliminal messages telling her to turn around. It was the second meeting of the Dark Followers, and she was honestly surprised that she came up with a topic for the meeting- or surprised that she held up for that long. She wasn't very happy to be having another meeting, though she knew that she should have been the least bit proud of her success. This was more of an "Edward" thing- Julia's brother was much more fit for this position, but she knew Ed would never be the leader of such a dinky group as this. But Julia was glad that she had her new co-leader that night, Sally Ruby.

Julia stopped in front of the hideout entrance and mumbled the password, opening the large door as it unlocked. She didn't know Sally very well, only that she was possibly the only follower who was actually interested in their affairs. She was sure that Sally had came up with a subtopic that pertained to the Devotions, because Julia had no idea what to have her followers do. In fact, she wasn't even sure what she was going to do at all that night; the first meeting didn't quite go as planned, so Julia had practically given up and decided to let the cards play out as they went along. She wasn't expecting many people to show up, she could only think of a few people who were definitely showing up, and that was: Julia, Sally, and Edward. It was sad, really, to think of how many people were interested in the group, or the subject at all, any more. The Dark Arts weren't exactly a "hot topic" amongst younger students, so the member population consisted of mostly sixth and seventh years.

She spread out her materials at her position at the large stone meeting table and poured herself some water. It would do for now, but if things went wrong, Julia kept a stash of firewhiskey in the back of the bar. She took her seat and waited for Sally and her followers to arrive, writing little notes to herself as she did.

Post by Sally Ruby Wed Jan 19, 2011 2:34 pm

Sally slowly to the meeting hoping to be the second one there so she isnt late. She sighed in relief to see just Julia was there so far. "Sorry If Im late, Ive been thinking alot on the topic of this meeting." She said walking over and taking a seat next to Juila. "Do you know if anyone else is going to show?" She asked rasing an eyebrow. Sally wasnt so sure herself but it didnt hurt to wait she assumed.

Devotions Empty Re: Devotions

Alice wasn't really sure, why she went there, but now she opened door and entered. First meeting she missed, because she didn't had the time to go. And now, well, she had to go, if she wasnted to know the plans. "Hi," she greeted Julia and Sally, her classmates. Julia she knew better, but with Sally she had never even talked with. Well, Alice wasn't the girl to be best friends with. But she was Slytherin, and she was a dark follower or what ever they called this group, so she had to communicate.

Devotions Empty Re: Devotions

Yumi walked into the meeting, yawning. She was bored as usual. She sat down without saying a word to anyone and rolled her eyes at what Angelique was saying. She looked around the room and still said nothing. She wondered why there weren't many people there yet, she was worried she would be the last one to get there. But it looked like she was wrong.

Devotions Empty Re: Devotions

Post by Ethan Thorn Tue Mar 22, 2011 11:08 pm

Ethan rushed and ran inside the room, he was really disapointed because he was really looking forward to this meeting and he was already late for it. But he just assumed it was his date that was still going on inside his head. He out his back behindd a wall and yelled out, "What is the subject today". Since these people were part of his hogwarts house, he didn't care about their looks and stuff. But he did notice that some of them were fairly ugly. But he didn't mind, as long as he knew he was better than everyone else, then he was fine. He could destroy anyone here in a heartbeat, except maybe that Julia, she seems like a very powerful wizard. He paced around back and forth waiting for something important to happen.

Devotions Empty Re: Devotions

Post by Percy Weasley Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:29 am

Cassie squeezed past the older girl still leaning on the door-frame and into the room the dark followers were using as their hideout. The first thing that struck her was that there were more people here today than there had been last time. The second thing was that every single face was familiar; they were all Slytherins.

The other thing that struck her, some time after her first impressions, was that she'd not tried to encourage one other person to become a dark follower. She hoped nobody would mind. After all, she was only a first year and everyone else here was much older than her.

Cassie supposed, if anyone asked, that she could just say she'd tried her best and nobody wanted to come. She was only a first year. It wasn't like she could force people like the others could. Surely they wouldn't punish her just because she didn't convince anyone.

Devotions Empty Re: Devotions

Alice sighed silently, and turned her gaze to Julia. "Can we do this quickly? I have other things to do, so..." She didn't finished, but she hoped, that they will make this meeting quick. She really was busy, she will have to be in Forbidden Forest in about half hour, and she really wanted to change her clothes. So, if these guys here just wanna stand and look at ech other, she will leave. No matter, what Julia and others, who she didn't even knew, think about it.

Devotions Empty Re: Devotions

Post by Alana York Sat Apr 02, 2011 4:00 pm

(Sorry, everyone, for the delay, I've had a lot to do outside of PA, and I haven't been able to get on as much as I'd like. I will try my best to remain active for the time being)

Julia gazed around the room at the students who had showed up. It wasn't too disappointing, there had been a few more people at this meeting then there had been at the last. She had partially blamed herself for the unpopularity of the group. She wasn't a very good leader because she wasn't too sure of what she was doing. She had always told The Followers to come to the meetings if they were true supporters of the Dark Arts, but now, Julia wasn't so sure of herself; whether she was a true supporter herself was up for debate.

However, she had to get the show on the road, clearly, people were raring to begin. Julia ignored Alice's remark; if she had somewhere to be that was of greater importance, then she could simply leave. "Hello, everyone, it's nice to see you all again. Welcome to Mister Thorn and Miss Zante, our newest members." Julia gave the people whom she addressed a kindhearted smile, and continued. "Today we will be doing something along the lines of Devotions. I've had our new co-leader, Sally, come up with something for you all to do. This will show us how devoted you all truly are; not only to our group, but to the Dark Lord himself. Also, I would like to hear everyone's opinions about the group in general; what can we do to make it better, what you all dislike about it, whatever you have to say. So, let's begin with that, and afterwards, we will see what Sally has to offer." Julia paused to let everyone have a chance to say something. She wanted to know people's honest thoughts, and she also wanted to know what she could do as a leader, to make everything better. She was eager to hear what everyone had to say, but waited patiently for someone to speak up.
