Wizengamot Code of Ethics

MEETINGS

Any member of the Wizengamot may call a meeting, at any time, for any reason.

A vote can be called for, for anything, at any time, by making a motion. (ie. I make a motion to vote for all members of the wizengamot to wear pink tomorrow.) For a motion to pass, at least THREE members must vote for the motion, unless otherwise stated below.

Wizengamot members may be relieved of their duties temporarily, and suspended.
This is done, in a meeting, by one member making a motion to vote to relieve/suspend said member of their duties, they may specify a time to re-instate the member, or say until further notice. The member for whom the vote is for, will be required to leave the room for the debate and vote. If THREE members vote for the relief of duties, the member will be relieved of their duties until the time agreed upon by the remaining members of the Wizengamot. Said member MAY NOT be called into the room for questioning during the debate or vote, they must remain outside the room until after the vote, and they are called back into the room.

Members may be removed from the Wizengamot.
This is done, in a meeting, by one member making a motion to vote to remove said member from the Wizengamot. The member for whom the vote is for, will be required to leave the room for the debate and vote. ALL members in the room, MUST vote for the removal of said member, for the member to be removed from the Wizengamot. Said member MAY be called into the room for questioning during the debate, but must be asked to leave the room after answering all questions.

The Minister of Magic may attend meetings, and may vote, granted the person calling the vote approves.

Should the Chief Warlock be relieved of their duties, the Minister of Magic will appoint a temporary replacement.

TRIAL PROCEDURE

Chief Warlock states offenders name, age, and charges.
Other Members can add anything not already stated.
The person on trial can then defend themselves, and call witnesses.
After the witness is done, the wizengamot can ask questions.
Any member can then call for the vote.
Each member votes, and can comment on the punishment they feel is proper.
Ruling is stated by the Chief Warlock, as is the punishment.
