| This guide will tell you where to start in Potters army, and will hopefully help you fit in.
Before starting ANYTHING, read the plot.
Introducing Yourself
The first thing you should do in PA is introduce yourself at the Hogwarts express.
Making your Character Application
After, you should make your character application at the subforum at 'The character" forum. One of the Admins will accept it and after that, you can get sorted.
Getting Sorted
You will be sorted into one of the four houses based on your application.
Once your sorted, you can access your House common room, where you can apply for your Quidditch team, and Roleplay.
Getting Equipment
Before you Roleplay, you must need a wand. If your a student you also need uniforms and school books. You need money for these, so first you need to ask for a bank account at Gringotts. Once you make an account there, you can buy those and, among other things, pets and brooms!
Once you've gotten those, your ready to Roleplay!
Role playing
There are many threads around that you can join and Roleplay in. You can make your own as well. To make personal threads (Threads which are reserved for a number of people/ or person) state that/those peoples names after the thread. A good Roleplay post should contain 3 or more sentences, good grammar and must be in THIRD person . Note that all RP posts should be in General Past Tense. Also, USE PUNCTUATION. These include, correct use of commas, full stops, quotations, etc.
Example of a good post: Harry walked into the kitchens feeling excited, he had never been to the kitchens before. He hadn't even taken another step when a dozen house elves rushed towards him, asking him if he wanted food or anything. "Cool" he muttered.
Example of a bad post: I walk into the kitchens and house elves came to me Cool.
Character Plots
The Character Plot section is for plotting your characters. (Eg. choosing friends, enemies etc.) It is not obligatory, but important and makes RP more fun.
Classes
Classes are held in different floors. A total of 9 classes are available; Defense against the Dark arts, Care of magical Creatures, Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Divination, Astronomy, Muggle Studies and Herbology. Thats excluding Flying lessons, which are available to only First years.
Attending Classes earns house points that are added to the Hourglass. After each Term, all the points are counted up and the end of term feast is held in the winning houses colours.
Quidditch
When all the house get full teams we'll start the Inter-house Quidditch cup, held at the Stadium. Quidditch is played in RP. Each match wins 150 points for the house.
Quad-Wizard Tournament
Every so often, we have a tournament between the four houses. One member is picked from each house to go through a series of tasks. The judges rate them out of 10 and whoever has the most points at the end wins the cup for their house.
Organizations
There are 4 main Organizations in PA. The Aurors, controlled by the corrupt ministry. The Order, who fight the Death eaters. Dumbledores army, a group of students united to fight against the evil side and the Death eaters, the followers of Voldemort. You can join each of these at the Daily prophet, besides the DA, which you join at the Room of requirement.
The Death eaters, Aurors and the Order occasionally fight with each other in Roleplay threads.
You can also form your own groups and clubs at the Clubs forum.
Awards
At the awards section, we award monthly awards to members. The awards change every month. We also have other awards, such as Male member of the month and female member of the month.
Ranks and Jobs
To apply for a job or a rank (Shop keeper, prefect, teacher etc.) Look at the bottom bit of the Daily prophet.
Prefects and Head boy/ Head Girl
Along the ranks you can apply for are prefects and Headboy/ Head girl. There are 2 prefects for each house, and one Head Boy/Head girl for Hogwarts. Prefects can give detentions and can moderate their house. The Head boy and Head Girl can give detentions, take and give points to students and moderate their house.
